FAQ · REFERENCE NOTES
A few things worth knowing.
When do I pay?
Your first eligible photograph can receive one free, clean preview at reduced resolution. This is a one-time free preview, not a daily quota. If you want the full-resolution result or more photos, buy a restoration balance. Uploaded photos do not automatically use credits. Repeated free-preview activity may require a quick verification or email code.
Can I upload several photos?
Yes, up to 25 JPEG, PNG or WebP images, each up to 20 MB. Once your selected first photo is uploaded, you can preview it while the other uploads finish. Paid photos are processed independently; finished photos appear one at a time as results become available.
How do restoration credits work?
One restoration is used only when a photo is successfully delivered for the first time. Technical failures, included retries and one eligible adjusted version do not use another credit. Unused restorations stay in your balance for 12 months from your latest purchase.
What happens if a photo fails?
Included automatic retries run first. If the photo still fails, its reserved restoration returns to your available balance. Retry it later or use that restoration on another photo.
What if I am not happy with the result?
Open the result and choose Adjust result. Tell us what needs changing, such as a face, color or remaining damage. Each eligible photo includes one adjusted version while keeping the previous version. Buying a preview does not reset an adjustment already used. If neither version works for you, contact support.
Will the result look exactly like the original person?
Restoration aims to preserve identity and the character of the photograph, but missing details may be estimated by AI. Use the comparison and detail viewer before purchasing. Results are not a guaranteed reconstruction of historical truth.
Will black-and-white photos become color photos?
Not by default. Photo Restorer preserves black-and-white or sepia character. To add color, choose Colorize in that photo's optional preferences or adjustment settings. Added colors are plausible estimates, not verified historical colors.
What is included in the download?
Your chosen restored version at full available resolution. The free preview is intentionally limited to a maximum long edge of about 900 px for web review. The paid result is normalized toward the original dimensions when the provider output allows it; its actual pixel dimensions are shown with the result. Larger original files do not guarantee a same-size AI output.
Can I close the page?
After your restoration starts, it can continue without the page. Reopen this browser or use Recent. After checkout, save your access link if you want a direct way to reopen the same photo set on another device. A network interruption during upload requires retrying that upload.
Do I need an account?
No password or subscription. On a new device, enter the email used for your Wallet and a short-lived 6-digit code will restore the balance. A 16-character Recovery Key is provided as a backup if you lose access to that email. Devices use separate private browser tokens, so connecting a new device does not sign out an existing one.
How long does restoration take?
Most restorations take around a minute, although processing time can vary with the photograph and current service load. You can leave after the restoration starts and return through Recent or your saved access link.
How do I download a whole set?
Open a finished photo to enter Memory results, then choose Download all. This appears when two or more saved photos are available and downloads their currently selected versions as a ZIP, without another selection dialog. If a set exceeds the 256 MB archive limit, download the photos individually.
How long are photos available?
Photo sets normally expire after 30 days, so download results before that date. Unused restoration credits have a separate 12-month validity period from your latest purchase.
Where can I get help?
Choose Get help from your photo set, or visit contact support. Quality concerns and refund requests are reviewed manually. See the refund policy for payment adjustments.
